Chaiyong Ngampravatdee

Chaiyong was graduated from Thammasat University’s Faculty of Law in 1985 and became a barrister-at-law in 1986. He then obtained a master’s degree in comparative law from Indiana University (USA) in 1988.

From 1990-1993, he worked for Tilleke & Gibbins in Bangkok, where he provided legal advice to clients on business and taxation laws. From 1993-1996, Chaiyong was a tax manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Bangkok. From 1996-2004, he was a core partner of Baker & McKenzie’s tax practice group in Bangkok. In 2005, Chaiyong set up his own practice to provide legal and tax services to domestic and international clients. He has now been working as a tax legal advisor for over twenty years.

Chaiyong specializes in business and taxation laws, including tax planning to reduce the costs of business. He regularly provides tax advice and tax planning techniques for foreign and local companies under private and government projects for investments in Thailand and overseas, and also works for joint ventures between local and foreign companies.
